Master Public Speaking with Bromley Speakers

Do you have a fear of speaking in public? Do you want to overcome that fear?

Then you’ve come to the right place!

What is Bromley Speakers?

Our club is a non-profit organisation (part of Toastmasters International) that helps its members to improve their public speaking, presentation skills, communication and leadership skills.

Why should I join?

Everyone here at Bromley Speakers once had a fear of speaking in public. Some of us have now overcome that fear and others are at different stages on the journey thanks to the supportive and friendly environment here at the club. Therefore, when you join, you will enjoy fellowship with people who all have the same goal: becoming better public speakers and/or better leaders. At each club meeting, you are guaranteed to learn something new!

When and where are meetings held?

We meet at 7.15pm at Ripley Arts Centre, Bromley on the first, third and fifth (where applicable) Thursday every month. To access a calendar containing upcoming meeting dates, click here.

How do I learn more?

Can I attend the next meeting?

What else is on this website?

What does a typical meeting look like?

During the first half of the evening, three members give prepared speeches. Each of these speeches is then evaluated by another member of the club.

The second half of our toastmaster evening features members being asked to deliver a Table Topic impromptu speech.  See below for a 17 minute presentation by an advanced member giving some useful guidance and tips.
